How Much Does a
Bathroom Remodel in
North Jersey Cost?

Most contractors won't put a number on a page. We will. These are the four bathrooms we build, the real ranges they land in, and what changes the number — so you can decide whether to call us before anyone sits in your bathroom for two hours.

Licensed, bonded & insured • Transparent Pricing • 2-year warranty

Four bathrooms, four ranges

Every range below covers labor, construction materials and permits. Ranges are real — the low end is a small bathroom with a simple layout, the high end is a large one with plumbing moved.

Every price above is labor and construction materials only. Finish materials — tile, vanity, toilet, fixtures, glass — are chosen and bought by you, so you control that budget completely. Most homeowners spend $3,000–$6,000. Your final number comes after an in-home visit: we measure, check the subfloor and plumbing, then lock it in writing. It doesn't move unless you change something.

What's in the number

This is the part that causes most disputes in this industry, so we write it out plainly.

What moves the number

Four things account for nearly every dollar of difference between a $13,900 bathroom and a $24,900 one.

Whether the plumbing moves

Keeping the toilet, sink and shower where they are is the single biggest cost saver. Moving a drain means opening the floor, and in an older North Jersey home that often means working around cast iron.

Square footage of tile

Floor-to-ceiling tile in a large bathroom can be three times the labor of a tiled floor with a tub surround. Pattern matters too — herringbone and mosaic take significantly longer to set than a straight lay.

What's behind the wall

Rotted subfloor, failed waterproofing, old knob-and-tube, or a vent stack that was never done right. We can't price this before demo — but you'll get it in writing within 24 hours with a number, before we touch it.

Glass and vanity

A frameless glass enclosure runs several times a sliding door. A custom double vanity runs several times a stock single. These are your choices, made against a written allowance.

Flexible Financing Available

Spread the cost over monthly payments instead of paying up front.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is $10,000 enough for a bathroom remodel?

For a tub-to-shower conversion, yes — ours start at $8,900. For a full gut with new vanity, flooring and fixtures, you're starting around $13,900.

Why do quotes vary so much?

Usually because they're not the same scope. Some include permits and materials, some don't. Ask every contractor for scope in writing, line by line.

Do I buy tile and fixtures separately?

Yes. We cover labor, construction materials and permits. You choose the finishes — so you control that budget and we don't mark anything up.

What's a realistic budget in North Jersey?

Most homeowners land between $13,900 and $23,900. National cost calculators run low — our labor and permit costs are higher here.

What if you find something behind the wall?

You get it in writing within 24 hours, with a price, before we touch it. Nothing is added without your signature.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, through Acorn. Pre-qualify in about 60 seconds with no credit impact. Projects start around $199 a month.
